Another watch that I received back from the watchmaker is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E 875 Blue dial.
Back to its full glory!
Lovely blue dial, classic case shape.
And the back tells the full story: Memovox Speed Beat HF 28800, Waterresistant 2 ATM/20 meters, Stainless Steel.
Speed Beat HF 28800 refers to the, at this point quite new Calibre 916, compared to the old work horse Calibre 825, 18000.

The 20 meters water resistance! We all know 30 meters, which I believed to be the standard water resistance, but 20 meters, I never saw. Very nice Memovox, indeed. Enjoy it, my friend. Nicolas

If it is just a full service, it is ok. But if he has to repair a broken part of a caliber for instance, it could be a nightmare :-(
Watch brands have totally locked their repair service department today and it is very difficult for an independent watchmaker to find a NOS part or make a new one (need to find plans, cost which could be really expensive for the client...). Not a really g...

I just came back from my beloved watchmaker / teacher and he showed me a very old Panerai. Sorry I could not take pictures :-( It is in a very bad condition (need to make a new winder rod...) and it needs a lot of work to become as it was several decades ...
