I really like the new style lugs and bezel. Also the crowns on the new model seem smaller than on the previous, which I can only approve of! I cannot wait to see how the 40mm will look and feel. I have a feeling that with the case changes it could be even... 

But this watch deserved such a teasing, don't you think? I'm really happy to see it back again, improved with some great details. I think it will be a hit, if I judge from the first reactions, here. Best, my firend. Nicolas

I myself was betting on a re-invention of the Geo-matic based on the case back engraving. I certainly seems that you managed to create quite a hype for this watch with this little photo (or maybe the watch did it itself??) It is definitely good to see thi...

of another beautiful JLC...!! So my first original guess from your teasing was correct.....I did hope it was going to be an alarm piece..!! Pity it has a solid back as that was nice on the last one but you can't have everything in life. Cheers, Andy.

We had only one Memo which used a sapphire case back, the one from the 90ies, housing a MANUAL Alarm movement. Here, this is an AUTOMATIC movement, hence, you'd see nothing which would deserved to be shown, IMO. So, I prefer a solid case back, with a nice... 

I still just love to see movements as they just look like living things..!! Having said that the only piece I have with a display back is the Grande Sun Moon....no display on the 292 so I can't even admire the swans neck but i know it's in there..!! Best ... 

Nice case on this new version. It reminds me a bit of this oldtimer: (sorry for the poor quality picture) (and yes, this one is a hand-wound ! ) On the version you show us here in Le Sentier, we can see that it differs in some points from the watch that w...  

The press release version says "Memovox" on the dial, while Nicolas' prototype says "Reveil" Nevertheless, I want one....and I want it NOW...;-) Claus

So things can change till the next SIHH. The name, for example. On the proto, it is called Reveil, while I guess that it will rather be Memovox. I also guess that some improvements will be made on the definitive version, as you pointed out some of them. T... 

I could consider it, sure as it is very nice and a "true" memovox. But at the moment, I have to save on the watch budget and to focus on my 'old' watches (I am very much into the triple dates at the moment...)

Fantastic report, I love it. Every detail works in the pictures, can't wait to see it in person. I have always regretted missing out on the previous version. Curious, it looks like they are moving away from the gold seal. It's been a long time since we've... 

The alarm most often went with a solid case back, except the 90ies Memo. Why? Because it is an automatic movement, first. So there is nothing really interesting to see. Then, because a sapphire case back would disturb the quality of the Alarm sound? So, i... 

...do you beleive they are moving away from using the (applied?) gold seal on solid Master case backs. I have seen this in the compressor line, but I beleive all of the previous generation steel Master series watches with a solid back had a gold seal. Is ...

This watch must have lots of lovers. But, I must admit, that IMO, nothing can beat your two Deeps Sea Alarms. I love them, I think that them are two of the most nice and appealing watches that I´ve never seen... And I was a lucky man being able to admire ...

Thanks for a great report Nicolas. We discussed this topic a long while and I suppose all JLC lovers would like to see a new Memovox or Reveil. To me the old Reveil is a real beauty. It has quite a solid case IMO a nice bezel and a wonderfull 38 mm. Combi... 

I hear you perfectly on your arguments on the former Master Reveil. What you said is true, it looks chunkier, and it may please to some, without any doubts. Will a black dialed Memo come? The answer is ...YES! Do I already have a pic of it? NO. Sometimes,...

I really like the crowns, which are very similar to the low profile crowns found on EPSA cases.... and that seconds hand is magnificent.

Which which will come with this watch, BUT I can tell you that something nice will be revealed ASAP. A Bracelet? I can only share a guess, as all hsn't be said, for the moment, but I think it may be very poosible to have a bracelet on this version. Best, ...

As I previously said, the movement is the Cal 956, an automatic one, and since there is not much to be seen, I do think that a solid case back is the best solution, IMO. Therefore, I'm not sure an alarm will perfectly sound with a sapphire case back. Best...

This Memo is a dressy watch, which can actually be worn with less formal suits, while the Polaris is sportier. Hence, the difficulty to compare these 2 Memovoxes. The solution? Getting both of them. Best, Nicolas

Will the black dial be the only difference between the regular steel model and the LE model in steel? If yes, this would - IMHO - not justify any significant difference in prices. However, an engraved back with a gold plate as additional 'goodie' would ma...

this information still in December? As I'm on a business trip for several weeks in Jan. and Feb. I would have to place any order in advance at my AD. So any further hint regarding the LE in steel would be very helpful.

Ah, so that is what you had up your sleeve. It is great that JLC brought back the Memovox. It was missing from the current lineup of alarm watches. I really like the new Master case style for this one and the 40mm size is a wonderful modern day size that ... 

Keep in mind that the new Memovox is 40 mm big and 14,08 mm thick, while the former Master Reveil was 38, 5 mm and 14, 025 thick. So, almost the same thickness for the a bigger size sounds lie the promise of nicer volumes. If I'm in? Yes, I will get one, ... 

It seems the cal 956 is becoming a work horse indeed, but why still insist on all these limited editions? Limited production more like it! I really like the new case, but the crowns look awkward. Cheers, Rick
