Disagreed and agreed at the same time:
I have already written, that the watch comes from my AD. It means, that it has all its original boxes and papers, and I also get a two years warranty after the purchase. So there won't be a warranty issue at all, only after the two years period expired. And the watch was never been polished or touched, there was not a previous owner at all.
If I buy a used watch, it is very, very hard to tell, that its case was already re-polished or re-finished before or not, unless if it is a fresh or bad quality work, or the original shape was so bad, that the refinish couldn't help.
Here was the disagree-side.
But, in the main issue, I must agree with you. The watch must be loved per se, not only because it is a NOS-watch.
Well, I must admit, it wasn't a love at first sight. But I must admit also, that all the Reversos wasn't a love at first sight in my case. I remember well, when I get my first Reverso - and my first Jaeger at all - a few years ago: an immaculate Reverso Grande Date with the 8 Jours movement. The watch was a dissapointment to me, but later I liked it more and more.
The first Reverso, which I liked at once, was my Reverso Squadra, which is not a typical and classical Reverso. It is my point of view now, and now I am cultivating the more classical Reversos instead the Squadras. That is how changed your taste after the time.
In my point of wiew, the watch is a true classical Reverso, maybe its dial a little bit busy, but I like the not too common black dial and also the complications.
If the watch weren't be new, NOS, I would buy only on that case, if it is in an immaculate original condition with all its original box and papers. And it is not too easy to find one now, in 2015 matching with these criterias!
Cheers,
Adam
