Italian vendor at local watch show confessed it to me, actually I was following a few on Ebay the last days, those sold for about €100 while
the guy in person asked €20 regardless of style.
Nothing wrong with reproducing vintage buckles to serve collectors demand, but at least shall be named as what it is.
Faking current production is a copyright issue in my understanding.

Current production and vintage style buckles in steel and gold plated (PG and YG) are coming out of Italy lately. These are reproductions! Be warned.
