Nikolaj got it right.
I tried to talk about the different font types used for the date in the SS and the RG Chrono model.

I was just curious about that. It was not about the position of the date window (even if there were discussions about that too.)
BTW I think that the font the used for the RG model is the better choice.

P.S. Coming back to your remark about the location of the date window: You wrote that cal. 75x would probably not allow for a different locxation of the date window than between the 4 and 5. It seems that with cal 751 the 6 o'clock position is also possible:


With the new "Master Compressor Chronograph 2", the date window moved to the 4/5 o'clock position and the JLC web site calls the movement 751/1 now:

BTW: I think new new solution is the better one For the MCC because it gives a more balanced dial.

Remember, when the new Master Chronograph was presented in spring time, there was some discussion about the font used for that date window? Should the date window font match the font of the 12 on the dial or that of the numbers used for the subdials? Now ...

Well, guys, you become to be Rolexophiles! Personally, I would have preferred a less centered window date, and located at 3, but it seems that the Cal 75x don't allow this solution. Best, Nicolas.

JLC is boosting collectability by creating small variations in dial fonts, lume material on dials, position of foudroyante hand...?? At least I agree with you that all these variations (deliberate or not) makes Rolex very interesting for collectors. Nikol...

Doesn't correspond to a Cal 751 M... There is a story behind this. If I remember well, when I talke to Magali about this Chrono, she explained me that it was modified to have the date at 6 instead of somewhere between 4 and 5. But I'm not sure anymore. Be... 

The font doesn't bother me but the angle of the date does...

I saw this at my dealer last week in SS and it is a stunning piece, perfect size, smooth operation but I just can't get over the angle of the date..!! Even Bell & Ross change the angle of the numbers on the date wheel so the date is shown vertically a...

I think the catalog images are digital renderings, not photographs. I have not seen the rose gold version, but can confirm that the stainless boutique edition uses a serif font....

why JLC must stick to the Times Roman (?) font for the applied numerals. I'm all for continuity but I seriously doubt there will be strong protests from hardcore fans if that is changed. It's especially inelegant on the Reversos.
