address right in front of a supersized vintage Geophysic ad that reads
„Chronometre Geophysic“, when the reedition is just not that: a Chronometer! I
feel sorry for him.

location Andrew. Sadly it looks like JLC is bound and determined to have
“Geophysic” pretentiously printed on the dials of the reedition. All criticism
of the incoherent use of an automatic movement aside JLC would - in my view - be missing the
necessary tact, if they were to do so. As a replacement for “Chronometre” on
the dials of the real Geophysic the only legitimate though simultaneously
inconsistent aspirant for the reedition would be “Automatic”. “Automatic” was
frequently printed on dials of automatic vintage JLC watches that were not COSC
certified. The inconsistency lies in the inherently flawed concept of using an
automatic movement for the reedition, not in the watch itself so that it is not
contradicting the legitimacy of printing “Automatic” on the dials. JLC should do so.
