I think your idea
Of a thinner and more elegant case is a really good idea. It could be a winner.
The thing is, when we look in the back catalogue of JLC there are so many fantastic movements with cool complications and combinations , as this is an excellent example of. I think it would make a lot of sense, to revisit some of these movements, and rethink their design. I am dreaming of something more pure and original, with elegance over coolness. JLC needs to be rethought at the moment, IMO. I think utilizing the movements again, would be a great approach to start this process.

I'm not sure how it could get any thinner considering the 2 springs + gong....
It is, literally, a "sandwich" of 2 movements put together. If the gong could go around the outside of the movement, which would make the movement wider, that could flatten it. But I agree, it's still a cool complication: QP + Reveil. -Dean
