Don't get me wrong, I think the Reverso is a beautiful and ingenious watch evocative of a glamorous age. If I'm very fortunate, I might get to own one some day (although I have to admit that for some reason rectangular watches don't seem to look that good on me). But, I'm always slightly amused by the idea of it being reversible to protect the glass while playing polo. It seems an overly-grand solution to a trivial problem (ie - why not just take your watch off when you play polo?). On the other hand, the opportunities that being reversible afford for a second watch face, or enamel decoration, or engraving seem, to me, to make much more sense. Still, I'm glad somebody chose the grand solution over the simple one..
