Thank you for sharing your black beauty!
You know my love for the tear drop lugs triple calendar watches made by Jaeger-LeCoultre in the 40s and 50s (I have nothing against the close related cousins from Vacheron Constantin either).
This design is probably the one that made me most dream during the long years before I finally got my (first) one. This design indeed generally has an amazing effect on people who discover it, be they watch lovers or not.
I hope to add a pink gold moon phase version to my collection someday.

One thing that struck me...
One thing that struck me...was the finishing of the movement anglages. Very good. Never knew they did this so well 60 years ago.
They did it also, and before, on some pocket watch movements.
And to say all, I would love to see that level of finish on modern movements, too! Best, Nicolas

It is a long time that JLC has one Triple Calendar in the catalog.
With, or without moonphase, my friend. So, I doubt they imagine adding such a Tribute in the family. Unless they create a new manual movement... Best, Nicolas

there was already an alarm in production and they released a TTpolaris, there was already a diver and they delivered a TT Deep sea, so they have a triple calendar and.....as you said a manual movement with exquisite finish.......That would be great. Mo
That is an impressive combination. But the silver dials are top class, too.
