I was basically in the same position as you, with the same three models on a JLC shortlist - the MUT 39 Moon, the Master Memovox, and the Reverso UTT 1931.

If this is your first JLC, as others have already said, I would suggest either the MUT 39 Moon or the Memovox, as the automatic and date functions simply make for a more practical day-day watch IMHO.

The MUT 39 Moon is the more 'clasically beautiful' watch of these two IMHO, but the Memovox is a true classic JLC model with a long history, and an alarm is also a useful feature to have. The MUT 39 Moon is just a little smaller than the Memovox, which may be an issue if you have a smaller wrist.

I have tried quite a few reversos recently, and I found that the Reverso UTT 1931 didn't really work on my smallish 6.5in wrist. This model is in the largest of the three sizes of Mens reversos that JLC currently make, and IMHO this quite tall reverso case works best on a larger wrist .

Both are iconic: The Reverso since 1931, the Memovox since 1950.

I just went through this process myself and I bought the Master Ultra Thin Moon 39 in SS. Love it! An absolutely beautiful watch that is perfectly sized for my 6.5 inch wrist. I also hope to get the Memovox in the not too distant future.
