Maybe I will next time when I am
near a Boutique, but I always feel a bit awkward when I try on a watch only for trying it on when I know that I can't afford it atm. Maybe there will be an opportunity in the multi-brand jeweler where I buy my wifes jewelery and new Rolex watches (only brand I buy new for obvious reasons 
) - they know me as a good customer and ai won't feel out of place trying on expensive stuff...

I know what you mean,
10 years ago I would have never thought to buy watches for multiple thousands of Euros, but the passion grows and so does my income. Maybe when the biggest things around our house are finished and the mortgage has shrinked, BOOM - heavy hitter incoming!
