Hi everyone, Please enjoy some photos of my first fine watch... quite a step up from my mainly Japanese (Seiko, Citizen, and Casio) and Swatch dominated collection. A nice box... nothing too special A view of the back, I will have to think of something ni...  

with a Reverso in my opinion. The thin profile looks great. I look forward to seeing what you get engraved on the back. Stewart

I really don't have much of an idea of what I would like, and the thought of sending it away isn't very appealing at this point... maybe I'll have made up my mind by the time I need to send it for a service. Chris

You opted for the dressy Grande Reverso UT, while others go for the historical one. Is it a bad choice? Certainly not. Why others went on the TT R 31? Because they were used to the classic dial of your watch, and wanted something with a stronger historica... 

I really admired your photos from last years SIHH (and this years too), as I said photos of this version aren't as common online. Yes, this is my first JLC so I have not grown accustomed to their modern offerings. The tribute was too old school for my you... 

Good choice and a great start. Perhaps later on, consider engraving it's caseback. Am planning to do that for my TT31 one day

Yes I think I will have it engraved later, but for now it's staying with me! Chris

No one watch is meant to be for everyone. So it is better for you to get this one now than for you to get the Tribute, wear it for a while and discover that you still want this one. I think two factors that contributed to the favoritism are first fidelity... 

This watch was a graduation gift actually.... at this point in my life I don't want to even think about babies! A good suggestion for the future though if I am still undecided. Thank you, Chris

As others have said, you can't really go wrong with a reverso - a true classic. They are a very personal choice though - you do need to try them on to see what works for you. I didn't go for a thin reverso myself, but made up for it with a different thin ...  

The master ultra thin is a beautiful watch as well, just a little too small for me. The larger version unfortunately doesn't appeal to me because of the extra indices on the dial. Yours is really nice and I was seriously considering it, if only they made ... 

Great watch. I love the Reverso Ultra Thin. It looks like your wrists are the same size as mine, so I'd like to know: How does the Ultra Thin wear? Is it comfortable? I am worried that it might be too big (long) for me.

Just the strap that mine came with might be too long, normally I'm using the very last hole or second to last. So when you try it on keep this in mind... maybe your dealer can swap it for a shorter strap. But the watch itself wears very well imo, the lugs... 

Thanks for your response, Chris. I love the Ultra Thin, too. But, as I say, I'm a tad worried about the length of the case. Like you, I found the strap hard to deal with when I tried the watch on at the AD because the strap was long for me. So, it made it... 

it's a timeless and iconic piece. very nice!
