You're absolutely right, we may play a wider game, and compare the Vintage Geomatic with the more recent Master Control, or the Vintage Memovox with the Master Reveil, the Original Reverso with the simpler modern one, and so on.
And we'll always notice these common points, this common approach, style, design, philosophy.
As for the special minute hand on the Italian Polaris:
It was at the beginning considered as a possibility, but, at the end of several discussions, JLC gave up considering it, just because it was too controversial.
The official pic of the Italian Polaris existed way before the first discussions about a possible re edtion of the Polaris, so it doesn't have to be seen as Tribute to Polaris Marketting shots.
If you are wise, I will show you the first marketting shot about the Polaris!
My sincere thoughts is that I wouldn't like to see a 4th version of the Tribute to the Polaris.
3 are enough, let's think about another iconic JLC watch!

Another interesting thing is in A3 the "arrow" hand is the longer minute hand
