It'd be no fun to agree with most of what you've said, and since I do, I'll complain about the things I don't like about JLC as a brand:
*JLC excels at grand complexity in both movement (Gyro) and design (tryptich). They do not excel at simple elegance and simple complexity. There's nothing along the lines of a Patek 5070 or a Lange 1815 Chrono, the master perpetual, and to a lesser degree RDM, used to fill this hole, but they have been killed. That leaves a large gap(in my humbleness) in their product line. Clearly they cannot be all things to all people, but with a product line spanning what, $3k-$600k, discounting anything in Dubail's window, there seems to be a place for this.
*Odd detailing. JLC has taken to doing some really odd details on some of their watches, like all the words and numbers on the plates of the reverso Squadra(28.800...etc). This goes over to sometime not thinking about small things, like a proper clasp for a multi-metal watch. Just little peevish things
That'll do for now Mr Spiffy-New-Moderator
