Hey! I just bought a 70 at and antique store in Katy, Texas in perfect condition! I keeps excellent time and I absolutely love this little time piece. I would like to know the age of it thought. I assume it is probably from the 1940's . I paid $40.00 in U... 

Yes, I thought it was a good price and I like the fact that it's small and all mechanical. I like mechanical clocks and have always wanted a nice desk clock, with a barometer and thermometer. This is a beautiful timepiece and I am just trying to find out ...

... to me, initially, i also had the same mental difficulty in accepting American version of JLC... when collecting, tried not to touch them... but somehow after reading more and more, found actually LC or JLC have no difference! after all, i have several... 

Confusing in the beginning! And frankly I still have problem with the Jaeger definition. Jaeger=Clocks in US, but watches in France..?! Good to know I am not alone doing taking trip..! Best Blomman

You have a difference of at least 3 mm in terms of thickness between the DSA ( circa 13 mm ) and the Pola ( 17 mm ). Best, Nicolas.

I just bought a Ref 70 Barometer, Alarm, Clock at an antique store here in Katy, Texas. The frame, however, is not the shiny brass or gold like in the picture on this site but a dull brown. Other than that it is identical to the picture of the Ref 70 show... 

the condition of the pieces you find are just incredible to me. Mere mortals like me have to go without box, papers and discolored dials and hopefully original hands and glass! You have to conduct a masterclass one day when you have 'completed' your colle...
