You clarified two factors that I’ve not seen in any other report on this new watch:
1. The verso dial time cannot be set independently of the recto. I find that disappointing in a Duoface model.
2. You explained what JLC did not — the meaning of “semi-jumping hour.” Since it takes six minutes for the hour digit to change, I think a more apt term might be “Slow-shuffling hour” or “Just moseying along hour.” 😀
I find the Nonantieme to be beautifully designed visually, and the verso side is especially attractive. Technically, the lack of independent time-setting for the two dials is a clumsy misstep.
Maybe next year JLC will release a monoface stainless steel version featuring only the verso dial of this model? I’d jump on that quicker than a semi-jumping hour!
