I've loved the Grande Date Reverso since it came out, but aside from the aesthetics, never learned much about what makes it "tick". Can the JLC fans here fill me in on the lovely 875 movement, and another features about this watch that makes it more endea... 

I have no personal experience of the Reverso Grand Date. But I do have the Reverso GMT – same case size. From all the different case sizes the XGT case is the one suiting my 18-18,5 cm wrist the best. The GMT and the GD some similarities. 8-days power res...  

Hi BLomman Thanks very much for the description and picture, it is certainly helpful! For awhile now, I've liked the idea of an 8 day movement for the sheer convenience of it. Couple that with the superb looks of the 875 and the classy nature of this line...

Hi Doug, I have been very happy with my Grand Date, having owned it for 6 years. Still extremely reliable and there is something very pleasurable about winding it once a week and watching the RdM 'count' the days of the week down. Some find the case rathe...  

... i do not own GD Reverso, but like Blomman, i have Grande Reverso GMT. the common thing for these both watches is 8-day power reverse... i can tell i enjoy the manual wound watch with 8-day power reverse... we just need to remember to wind it full at t...
