To me there is an " air de famille " between these 2, if you compare the architecture of these 2 movements.
The 3/4 plate of the 876 is close to the 11, letting a small place to the balance wheel, which is located at the same place.
Even the edges are cut, more discretely on the 876.
I saw it as an inspiration, and seeing the Cal 876 made me think about the 11, even if there are some differences, as you pointed them out..
As for the watch, hopefully we all don't have the same taste.
I see some nice balance on this Reverso, and I'm not obssesed by the increase of the size IF it respects the natural harmony of the watch.
Which seems to be the case with the Grande Reverso.
It doesn't mean that I don't love the original Reverso.
