Let me start with a picture. We were in 2010, when Jaeger-Lecoultre unveiled a new Duometre, the Quantieme Lunaire. Aesthetically very close to the " A Chronographe ", born in 2007, the Quantieme Lunaire showed another face, another spirit, with these ape...  

Wow, it does not seem that long ago to me! I think dial cutouts and apertures are becoming a bit like the black watch trend - more and more we see them offered. Here, in the case of the Duometre Chrono, I'm afraid I prefer the purity of the original dial....

I hear you loud and clear, my friend, as a big fan of the Duometre you ( we ) are. As for the small case, it is a hit in Asia, from what I have been told. BUT, for me, as for you, the identity of the Duometre is somewhere around 42 mm. And they should sti... 

hence my disappointment.....why another one?with different bezel? Fricks is right,they give the impression to try to get it right......same thing they did with the Minute repeaters.... Stand behind and defend your best product please JLC! Mo

I don't really care to see these evolutions, as I know which one is important for me. The first one, of course, with the plain dial. The rest is for the others. Not for me. That will not ruin my appreciation for this Duometre I love, this one, and the pla... 

My pair are keepers, and my love won't diminish at all. Just a shame to see this BECAUSE I love them so much! Mo

The dial is cool. If you are going for a straight up dress watch, the plain dial works better. This variant has the open areas to give you a sneak peek at the movement but not overly done and attention getting like a full skeleton. Thanks for the pics! -M...

There's less depth in these openings. In the lunar, you can see all the way through to the balance, in the chrono, not nearly as much a

I do not like the apertures. And I can not reconcile the 1/6 sec on a moon phase. I just asked Stephan B last week why and his answer was why not? So, my heart and love is with my black WG chrono. Very happy. Best, Joe

Nicolas, if you weren't the moderator, i'd think its a joke. So to summarize it, we have or shiny grainy dial or plain white grainy dial. With or without apertures? Rounded bezel or straight edge? Or 40.5mm or 42mm... etc...etc... You know, its starting t... 

This one, which has a dial whch makes me think about the Joker's smile, in the Batman movie, is another story. The fact that you modify the bezel is not a problem, you can always improve a product, and it is a pretty good sign to see that. Now that they w...

... gotta be practical. We complain when little details about a watch bugs us and when a manufacture does several variations we complain that he is melting the identity of the watch. Time to know what we want :)) hahahaha... trying to take things positive...

Not a big fan of the cut-out dial... If anything I might prefer if they just went full monty w/ the skeleton/open dial. The cut-out dial is neither here or there. Moreover, they seem to have eliminated that little subdial on the minute counter readout... ...

it makes sense with the cut outs really...well,it doesn t make sense to cut the dial in the first place,well you know what I mean... Good eye Mo

As for me the Duometres are beyond my reach, despite the fact, that I feel an ongoing fascination with concept and principles and importance of these timepieces: - on a very personal, humble note several thoughts are remaining: 1/ for me a great series of... 

And I must admit that I share your opinion on plain dials versus partially open dials. Not only for this piece, by the way, but in a general way. I wish you make your dreams come true, my friend. Will try to see if I can be of some help. All the very best... 

And BTW, you HAVE been already been a good, no, even more, an instrumental part for making some dreams & wishes come true ! - thus, thanks again, for all that, as well & again !! As a last humble little remark, some more obtainable 'little dreamies' are a... 

I love many of the Duometres. Some more than others. But there is a line in the sand that I just cannot cross...I just cannot get that image out when i look at the dial ...  

I like that JLC took the second "Minutes Counter" (the dial at the bottom of the chronograph subdial) off. I like that the power reserves are graduated and more easy to see the actual hours stored. I like the open apertures, as this is a bit of a JLC-only... 

As I was told that more and more, the dials will come with this configuration. I am curious, intrigued, and, to say all, a bit disappointed by this configuration. But let's see what they have under the sleeve... Best, Nicolas.

Has anyone noticed that this version of the Duometre a Chronographe lacks the 10-minute counter under the larger hour and minute counter? Because of my age, I can't see it very well on my Duormetre, but I like the fact that it is there, and I think it is ...
