You are right, Nicolas, the beauty, charme and harmony of these vintage Reversos s really breathtaking.

Trying to find my personal access to JLC I had also a closer look at some of modern Reversos. But up to now for some reason that I did not understand they did not really sing out to me. I think that your post just showed me why: It may be that they appear just a little bit too perfect, too cool to me. But maybe this effect is normal if a classic piece is reinterpreted in modern times like the Fiat 500, Mini, VW Beetle? I know there is a big difference if something evolves over time (like the Reverso did, if I got it right; I need to learn more on JLC history) and keeps its faith to itself or if it is remade after a long time for nostalgic or financial reasons like the above vehicles.
However looking at your vintage Reverso pictures makes me feel that more spirit is living in these vintage models than in the curent ones. I really like them. But again this could be related to the observation that my taste currently seems to be evolving from sports watches and bracelets to a little warmer and elegant watches and straps.

I am happy with you about your new vintage Reverso! The center second is certainly very uncommon and special, but as the Reverso was intended to be a sports watch (!) back then, it fits well. You obviously have chosen it with care. If personally I would have preferred the one with the white dial that would have been because my preference for sports watches made for a row of black dials in my box. So for a change I am looking out a little more for light dials now. Confusing post? Maybe, but writing it down helps me to get my thoughts organized ;-)

Apropos silver dials: The silver dial Memovox in your last picture kills me. What a watch! I have seen it before, but on your current pic it hit me like thunder. I would love to see that one in the flesh! What is inside? 825?

They both have their pros and cons. The Vintage have Soul, expressed by their patina, the radium indexes, but also this lovely dirty look. Some would prefer the Clinical clean look of the Modern. To each his own, even if, personally, I love both of them.....

that attracts me to JLC, not that the Master Control is not outstanding, but simply the Reverso is unique. And those vintage Reversos look so attractive. They are like some finely aged wine, they just get better with the passage of time. Best regards, Bax...
