A few years back I purchased an EWC when they first came out. I had/noticed the exact same issue you are speaking about. I tood the watch back to the Ad and they sent it back to JLC to be checked. I received the watch back and they said there was nothing wrong with the watch.."this is the way it was". I lived with it for a while and it still annoyed me so I returned it to the AD for a full refund. It left a bad taste in my mouth for JLC and stayed away from the beand for quite a while......................Until about a year ago, I couldn't resist the JLC Navy Seals Chrono. No noise, no nothing! just a killer watch. The best all around sports watch I have ever had. Had Daytona, Subs, AP's, VC, Pnaerai etc.....and I just can't stop wearing this watch. Now I am down to two...This and a PAM 372. To get abck to the discussion though, I experienced the exact same thing and felt for the money, it should not be that way. Beautiful watch, unacceptable "rattle" noise whatever it is.
Best of luck and have a nice weekend.

merci, nicolas. it was my suspicion, but i had initially ruled it out as an explanation because i figured the ewc casing would make the mere rotor spin nearly inaudible. and then, compared to a go rotor, for example, it just didn't sound as substantial. b...

The first EWC were shipped late 2005, so they have been out for a little over 6 years now. Had on of the first EWC's made in 2005, it had an issue with alignment of the world time ring. That watch was swapped out after 3 weeks of ownership for a new one b...
