Jaeger-LeCoultre

Lately I have been drawn towards timepieces that are objects of art. It is therefore not surprising that I was attracted to watches featuring miniature enamel work. I was lucky to have recently won through an auction the Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso a eclipse...  

I tried also to bid for the Number 2 Tourbillon Platinum (1/500) but was narrowly outbid. Now regretting....

The dial on the platinum piece is absolutely beautiful and I would prefer it to the more complex gold watch. Both scenes are beautiful and I noticed that the unworn platinum piece is one of three pieces which makes it quite special. Well done my friend!

As to preference, I like the new PT one over the older YG piece.

Not surprised by your choice....

I like it more than the Caspar David Friedrich piece. But both pieces are a little big for my wrist. The Grand Taille size without the added thickness of the shutter system is about all my smaller wrist can take.

I thought the Eclipse is small enough....but you are right about the thickness
