I like the finishing on case sides and the design details on the reverse of the case. A manual winding movement is a good choice and JLC probably thought that large decorated plates over the movement looked aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately this hides... 

JLC has come out with quite a few statement pieces lately. Just would wish that they are again showing some more creativity and audacity in the more basic parts of their collection. Like during the reign of Jerome Lambert with watches like the initial Mas...

I guess a solution for 'no tourbillon' guys would be still to have it, but discretely, seeing it only the movement side....
