Personally I find this watch very nice, I will most likely acquire one. I love the dial and particularly the hands, it is a simple and somewhat elegant tool watch. Now, perhaps what could be criticised is all the fuss written about the Geophysic. Yes, it was made for the Year of the International Geophysical Year, 1958 (excellent year) but it was not the first anti-magnetic wrist watch. It looked very nice and had a very nice manual movement, in my opinion, but so does the "re-edition". It looks very nice and although not having a manual movement, the movement is still nice (there is no sapphire back anyway) but automatic, which is not a drama for me after all. So, in my opinion it is not a failure. One can never duplicate the original and I like the size 38.5mm is a good size, I think.

I am not a "real collector" so I have a different perspective, I am only a lover of mechanical watches and this one appeals to mewink
