unassuming, in this instance I must say that I really like both the rose gold and stainless steel, however I would have preferred the stainless steel to have the same colour hand and applied markers as the new Master Perpetualin white gold, I believe they... 

I wouldn't see them on the SS Master Calendar, though... It would bring a wierd touch of modernity, while it works very well on the MUT 39 perpetual. Difficult to put in words, but this is the feeling I have. Thanks for your input, my friend. Best, Nicola...

Hi Have yo say the the new one is a great improvement over its predecessor - never really understood why the power reserve was stuck in the middle of the dial. Almost like it was trying to be all things to all men. Now its much closer to what it should be... 

As for the WG, yes, it came with a hinged case back. That was a superb model, even if my favourtie was the Pt case, blue dial which also came with the hinged case back. Best, Nicolas.

JLC is one of the rare manufacture to reduce the size of their cases, not on all the production, but on the dressy category. I have the feeling trhat they are right, and that the tendance ( how much I hate this word ) will go this way. So, reducing the Ma... 

A wonderful addition to the JLC range - and you put it absolutely right: back to the roots. this was certainly a wise choice..the power reserve was disturbing the harmony of the dial. Looking forward to see it in metal. Best, Stefan

these Dauphine hands are so! ...so...what? antiquated? banale? is it just me? ....perhaps, then I should take an appointment with a psy!:) The last picture you offered us in the introduction although the dial itself looks "weird" the hands are beautiful, ... 

It is a matter of taste, here: Some love them, others don't, and some others just don't care about them. JLC is reworking a lot of details on their watches: The cases are the most obvious example. They also started to re think their buckles ( It was time ... 

I could be picky about some of the aesthetics (I still believe the balance of the width of the bezel is too much), but it's great to see a piece like this back in play from the watchmakers' watchmaker and especially with the correct looking hands rather t...

The cream dial (like the MGUT), with a "small" reserve de marche (ala 5146) at 12 o'clock.....but then it'd look like it was trying to BE the 5146. I owned the MM, and it's one of the watches I regret selling (right price/right time). Even though the 2006...

this "return to roots" is very nice... funny that they are not interested in an annual calendar...that would fit in nicely in their product range...

My guess is that JLC doesn't see any reason to go for an annual calendar. They have a wide and impressive choice of Perprtuals, from the " simple " auto to the most sophisitcated ones ( HM / Gyro I / Tryptique ), without forgetting the 8 Days PC! Best, my... 

I think a return to a smaller case size is long overdue. Hopefully, this version is also thinner than the 40mm one. For me, the thickness was too much for the diameter of the case. Probably why I stuck with my Master Hometime. To make it perfect, I'd add ... 

...an interesting design choice to split the date windows farther apart. I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it invites me to take in more of the dial. On the other, it expects me to take in more of the dial...Ken

If you look at all the former ones, as well as the Vintage, the distance seems to be the same on all of them. Like a " marque de fabrique ". Hmm, I would like to see some photoshop job with your suggestion, now. Damn you! ;) Best, Nicolas

...and I just can't quite get over it. The expanse between the date cutouts really unbalances the dial for me (not that it's unbalanced--it's symmetrical, after all--but it just doesn't work IMO). John

Allow me to say briefly that I completely welcome this new Master Calendar. It is proper, graceful and everything I would want it to be. But having said that, if I am going for another round JLC watch, I will more likely choose the Master Ultra Thin 39 Mo... 

When it comes to Calendar watches, and it may be risky to release an Annual Calendar, in these said that byou would go for the MUT 39 Moon if you had to go for another round watch from JLC. Does that mean that you next watch is a rectangular one? ;) Best... 

The watch I have on order is rectangular and it will have two faces :D But I am not excluding the possibility of adding the MUT 39 Moon to the collection at this moment. Let's see what Omega will bring first this Basel. and I have a huge credit card debt ... 

I think this layout is the best way to approach a triple date moonphase execution. Nothing to hate here to be honest. Probably one of those watches that you won't see too often in the secondary market. And the gold is nice too! Great to have a lot of winn...
