I didn't see myself getting a Montblanc watch, till I saw the blue. I don't mind the name on the dial, I mind the watch, the way it is made, the finishings, the charm. And on this ground, this is a champion. Now, Green is not everybody's taste. Indeed. Be...

They had the right idea for sure. But the green doesnt work for me, and I suspect doesnt work for others - thus the 100 pieces should sell well, but they had the chance to make this a mainstream non limited production piece and didn't - I think that's a m... 

I think it’s a fair choice not to flood the market with an unlimited edition for Montblanc. They will need some more time to also establish a resale value of these and not having unsold pieces floating around is the right decision IMHO. Plus the 13.21 mov...

First, thanks for the superb report. Second, the green strap isn't the best, but in my mind's eye I can visualize other straps and they look good in my imagination. Third, lots to like with this one! As I said, it's growing on me. I'll have a few question... 

First, what is the power reserve of I wasn't able to find it on the Montblanc website. Second, were you able to put it on your wrist? I've never considered the blue dial 1858 to be a large watch, even though it's 44mm. Somehow it wears just perfectly. I ... 

Yes, the buckle is the same. Let me come back on the size... I have zero problem with the 44 mm 1858 blue Tachymeter. But the 40 mm is more elegant on the wrist. Best, Nicolas

I still prefer the 1858 tachymeter as a whole package though...after seeing your report...

This is one that really captured my attention because I DO like the green dial color and the 40mm size is optimal. My thoughts: (1) the loss of the red accents is noticeable if you are a fan of the 1858 Tachy. I think those red accents make a subtle diffe... 

As for the raised price, two years later, it is 3 000 Euros more than the Tachymeter. Still a bargain, but... One thing I like a lot on the 40 mm, the bevelled lugs. Much better than the 1858 Tachymeter. Best, Nicolas

but I think this color would pair nicer with a bronze or yellow gold case. the price point is fair, considering how much I paid for my 13.21 movement watch, even though mine is white gold and enamel dial. My concern is that current collectors would be off...  

no qualms with color combination—dial and strap—and the size is perfect, but out of my price range!

Seeing them side by side confirms my impression that it was the right choice to for the 40mm case and the 13.21 movement. Hopefully with the Devil‘s Tail as in the press pictures. Otherwise I am also wondering about the pusher shape. While Montblanc regul... 

I will publish a wristshot in this thread later. To answer your question, I would say yes if you are a chronograph addict and no if you have a more versatile approach. Because in the end they remain two classic chronographs with two of the most beautiful ...
