Even though I have a weakness for blue dial and hence I really like the steel version with blue dial, I also have a weakness for red gold especially when paired with a black dial. This is a great combo that always works for me. I agree with all your point...

You are right, the big asset of this watch is its movement. But I find the rest very consistent, too, I mean the case and the dial. That's a big love affair. Especially in steel, for me, but I must say that the rose gold, as showed in your pictures, doesn...

I also tend to prefer the steel version, but the gold is just as successful. The movement is even more attractive through the gold caseback.

I see the 1858 Chrono poison is building up rapidly in you lol! Be careful of the many Vlads around here.... Muahahahah :p

But yes, since your initial post on this new collection, I have been in love with this blue dial MB. I have always wanted a manual wind chrono, I have always wanted a monopusher. To get one with a much more modern dial than we typically see used on these ...

The 1815 Villeret editions are really good value for money. More than that the calibers have a great finishing and look beautiful. Compared to much more classical versions of previous 1858, this one is a sportier model (in spirit). It is the kind of watch... 

FrX, Thanks for the review. I like both the steel and rose gold versions for their own case-dial colour combinations. However, the steel case may be more practical for daily wear. Ideally, a smaller case (40 - 41mm) would be better. I don't mind the logo ...
