ok, I must admit to cheating on the picture :P
HI pplater, Anthony and Mike,
I have to confess... It was a cropped image and I tried to be artistic and used the 'negative' setting in irfanview to try to disguise the watch 
. I've posted the pic in a response to SJX and Patrick who guessed correctly that it was a Montblanc Las Vegas boutique exclusive piece for their grand opening back in February of 2008. Thanks for checking out the post and looking forward to DRMW's writeup of our visit to the boutique.

Don't know the model, but it is a Valjoux 7750 derivative movt.
So possibly a Tantalum case chrono, similar to the dive watch cased in Tantalum a few years back???? Tim
