Sad but I'm learning this is how it is
I have not had to send one of the few Montblanc watches I have in for service but I recently bought a new Harry Winston watch and I accidentally dropped it when I was removing it from the box for my first time to wear it. A small allumnimum piece on the face detached and there was a ding on the bezel. I sent back to the boutique where I bought it and they, in turn, sent it to Geneva. It took two months for them just to give me an estimate on two minor repairs, It then took another few weeks for them to acknowledge receipt of the signed estimate and now they are projecting that it will take up to 17 weeks for repairs. So a watch I bought in July, I should be getting back sometime in January. Absolutely absurd but after reading these posts it seems this is the norm which is horribly sad.

That is not reasonable. IMO 4 - 6 months at most. For a super complicated piece I might be ok with 8 - 10 months but even that is kind of ridiculous. I just had to send one of my relatively new and very complicated watches off for service for another bran...

Yes, they make really great watches- both at Le Locle and especially at Minerva. But I think we can all agree servicing is lacking! It seems some brands just pushes the sales end but not the after sales side….. shame. These are not cheap watches either- w...

He responded to my chaser email straight away! Apologised for the delay and said that he cannot seem to see my first email. These things do happen. He now has his Director of manufacturing and quality manager on the case. Fingers-crossed!
