That's one of the benefits with Montblanc, there are Montblanc boutiques all over the world where one can expect on the spot servicing for most small tasks.
The Montblanc packaging is unfortunately very underwhelming, but of decent construction and offers better protection of the watch than even some Rolex boxes of former years.
If I'm not mistaken, you can specify a tang buckle for the rubber-strap. And since it's rubber, you won't worry about the wear and tear that tang buckles create.
