As the fog cleared and the sun came out early on August 17, the cars lined up to be viewed by enthusiasts and drivers alike outside the iconic Gladstones Restaurant at on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The Angelus S63 AMG Mercedes lined up along with other supercars including the Lamborghini Hurrican, Lamborghini Ventador, Koenigsegg One ($2.1 Million) and Koenigsegg Agera ($2.1 Million), Porsche GT3 RS, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, McLaren 650s, Audi R8, Aston Martin Vantage, Bentley Continental GT, and Mercedes-Benz SLS, among other supercars.

The rally launched to great fanfare with a police escort onto PCH, through Malibu Canyon and onto the 101 Freeway, where some drivers really let their cars show what they were made of.

As the teams headed north towards Monterey the sounds of the cars were caught everyone’s attention. Driving through incredible scenery in the valleys of central California’s farmland, the drivers headed to the coast again for a quick lunch in Morro Bay. They then took the scenic coast road to the 101 Highway to Carmel and onto Ocean Drive, where people lined the streets and heightened their all senses with the smell of the exhaust, the sounds of the engines, and an eyeful of all the cars decorated with the most colorful wraps.

The Angelus team proudly sported both the Angelus U30 Tourbillon Rattrapante and the U40 Racing Tourbillon Skeleton, which fit the racing theme perfectly. Drivers and passionate car fans loved the styling and function of both watches, especially the grade 5 titanium used for the cases.
