Officine Panerai

I recently posted about the PAM 337 that I purchased about two months ago. In my response to Anthonys post I mentioned that I was thinking about buying a 392 later this year. By coincidence I had been by the boutique earlier in the week and they happened...  

Part of what makes it crazy is that I bought another watch between the two Panerai's. I'll be posting about it soon on the IWC forum.

I have a soft spot for the 337. Rads all the way !

I find that they both have their charms, which is how I ended up with two Panerai watches in such a short time.

Mark! Congrats on being one of the first with the 42mm luminors! very nice and you are so right..it looks right at home on your wrist! you got your sights on anything else? When you held the 312 and the 392, did you feel that the 392 was thinner than the ... 

There is a difference in thickness between the 392 and the 312 as you can see in this picture (392 is towards the top): As far as having my eye on anything else, I have to admit that I would really like one of the PAM 173 travel alarm clocks. Unfortunatel...  

and nice to see their effort in trying to slim down the 312 case.. the Alarm Clock was a nice classic..I know someone who actually put that on a strap and wear it.. I am sure a WTB on a Rsiti site will get some attention..good luck!

I kind of knew it too, I just figured it wouldn't be until sometime in the future. Then I saw it again in the metal and just couldn't resist. I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised at how much wrist time it has been getting. While it is small by Panerai...

Thanks a lot for this review. I think to buy also one. We saw in your photo that there are a real deifference in thickness between this two watch Can you tell me exactly the thickness of the case of the 392 ? I think that the 312 is something like 18mm an... 

This is my first post. Just wanted to thank you for the thorough post. I was also choosing between the 392 and 312 and also went for the 392 in the end.

Hi mark, congrats! after you have for almost a month, how do you like it any issues? cause i just ordered one at my AD, it'll take about another week to come.

It has been causing me to neglect other watches in my collection. Other than that I am extremely happy with it. Congrats on your purchase. You'll have to post some pictures when you get it.

Thanks Mark, i finally picked it up yesterday at my AD. so i'm looking some straps right now since it didn't come with the rubber straps (is that right)???? do you know what size of the straps should i get? do you think that will this straps fit 392?: 22m... 

The factory strap is a 22/20 115/75.

Hi Rovermark, Thanks for such an informative post. I'm also an owner of a 338 looking at the 392. Any chance you know what the lug to lug vertical height is on the 392? I find that anything 50mm or under will work for my wrist. Thanks! Also, what kind of ... 

Unfortunately I don't know the lug to lug height. The strap on my 338 is a custom one I had made from vintage leather. It ended up a little thinner than I would have preferred, but it still works ok.

I found where I put my micrometer. The height from lug tip to lug tip is 51.1mm.
