So is it the “look” that makes it a Porsche or a Panerai?
To me, the Radiomir is the 911, and the Luminor is maybe the Boxter. Both are still of the parent and are indeed Panerai and Porsche. But unlike the 914, the Luminor is an active part of the Brand still today.
Of course, the movement was of a time before everyone became a “manufacturer”. I guess not unlike an early Porsche have a VW engine(?).

I’m perplexed. Why is the resale value of some of Panerai’s early 2000’s Ref (such as 086) are not more desired by collectors? I have a hard time understanding why one would purchase a new or newer Ref now costing $6-7k that is just a variant of last year...
