Today was a tough and busy day when only a rugged Panerai would do💪🏽

The 243 is a thick piece, but it has its charm and a clear wrist presence. ...

Thank you 😊 For this particular one, the 1950 case is part of the charm.

Ooops. So, was the 87 a re-issue of sorts, or what is the relationship, if any?
By: ArmisT : November 1st, 2025-17:42
There’s actually an old post I found by MichaelC talking about the different series of the 87. And he points out the difference from the 64 Bomba.

The Bomba was the first, the 87 came one or two years after, from memory, and the 87 was not a LE....

Correct, I read that the 87 la bomba came out one year later, but with blue dial
By: ArmisT : November 1st, 2025-22:11
An article says how Paneristi who got one of the original 500 LE Pam 64 La Bomba were not happy. But looking at pictures I see there were other dial changes. The original La Bomba is truly a beautiful beast!

Love the 243
By: Arronax : November 1st, 2025-03:01
Dripping with sub DNA and macho vibes and those T dials look amazing. Love the crown lever engraving as well, nice detail!

I had sold a previous one (non-T) in the past…
By: ArmisT : November 1st, 2025-16:42
but missed its unique character and presence until I got this T version. The T makes quite a difference.

On my short list for sure. This would be my first automatic Panerai.
