What strikes me as odd is the watch on the shirt... the California dial on Luminor was not an issued watch at the time???

My first "nice" watch was a Panerai. The community there was incredible those early years.

Remember it well. I wasn’t one for GTGs until somewhat recently and so never really considered making the trip. There were some exceptions, one P-Day, and a few times in other cities and countries. It was really a crazy time, a super group all over the wo... 

I think it was the first event I attended, and really have not attended many others since.

Don't recognize most of the guys on the pic. Well it's not that sharp. I never attended any GTGs unfortunately, but met with one or the other paneristi in London back in the days. I remember Hammer and Nad very well. I must have joined paneristi around 20... 

I’ve attended to a bunch of them over the years and the passion was nothing else.

It looks like so much fun seeing the pictures through the years. I kind of miss having a Panerai and maybe I will revisit the older models. Always loved the 233...if there is another get together locally I would definitely consider attending.
