quite comfortable to wear - considering both are heavy/thick watches.
To make the comparison valid, both should be put on i.e. a leather strap.
Then, I feel the 422 stays a little better on the wrist - probably due to its' larger area supporting the wrist.
So, I guess the actual feel is very individual.
As daily wearer...of course they are very different, one being automatic AND having a date, the other manual and no date.
For me personally, a date is kind of must have for daily use, so the 328 (312 on strap) tend to be the chosen one 
So, please...keep on consider a Panerai again to your collection, Blomman!! 
I am not a complete Panerai-crazy guy (true "Paneristi") myself, but find them easy to read,
and the newer movements like in these two pieces is especially practical for travel.
