When you happen to mention those exact two models, I got interested.
By pure coincidence - it's the two Panerai models I happen to own. No more , no less 
Love the bracelet on the 328. It CAN rub the underside of my wrist a little as the whole pack is quite heavy and the locking mechanism is a little sharp on the edges - but that said, I generally find it quite comfortable and of exceptional quality.
Threw both on top of my jeans, and took a quick pic. Bad, bad image, lots of reflections, but as you kind of see on the image - the difference between the two is not that big. Both watches fits good on my wrist, the 422 probably being the most comfortable of the two.
- And I completely agree with you about the crown-feeling of the 328. Now, I do not have that much experience from other PAMs to compare with, but I often find myself using a thin cloth or similar around the crown when pulling it out for adjustments. Then, I get a better grip, and better control of each step to pull. Also, that saves my (thin-skinned) fingers a bit
