Officine Panerai

Hi. I came across this pam0004 T dial and am researching its validity. According to paneristi.com there should be a numerical link between the bb number and the mille number by 1400. So 6138 less 1400 should be A3438 but this shows A0327. So the quest...  

theory (I'm sure Paneristi is an impeccable source) but the case back in the picture belongs to a FAKE Panerai. As simple as that. Now, it would be nice to have a whole lot more pictures, front and back BUT I repeat, the one in the picture is belongs to a... 

But, to speak about the magic formula you read about elsewhere... that's definitely incorrect. The A number references the year (1998) the watch was produced. The number of 1500 is the millesimation of the number of that exact watch produced, which in thi...

the dial is NOT a Pre-A one. The pictures are "blurred" (I suspect on purpose). Don't just walk away from this deal, RUN away... This below IS a Pre-A 004 dial. Notice the difference of the 6. All the Pre-A models have T-SWISS-T below the 6. T - (dash) SW...  

the Pre-A are ALL "T-swiss-T". The models A+BT models are "T swiss T", with no dashes. The serial B comes with BT dials AND BL dials, since the Tritium was on it's way out and the later production's models, had Luminova dials. Submersibles are "T swiss ma... 

The example above is a series A with T swiss T. How is it obviously a fake dial?

I'm a lazy old man. I took a picture of one of my Pre-A's back. Look how terse is the engraving, how deep it is and how the numbers DON'T touch each other. ...  

By the way, I notice that your watch conforms the to 1400 rule in the paneristi website. Subtract 1400 from the last 4 numbers of your BB number and it gives you the A number. Guess yours is real. 😉
