The A number references the year (1998) the watch was produced. The number of 1500 is the millesimation of the number of that exact watch produced, which in this case is 1500. Since 1500 were produced, the number to the left of the / cannot exceed 1500.

By the way, I notice that your watch conforms the to 1400 rule in the paneristi website. Subtract 1400 from the last 4 numbers of your BB number and it gives you the A number. Guess yours is real. 😉
