First Pam and a pretty cool story

Hello Pam fam,

Here’s my first post ever to commemorate my first Pam.

Short story - for months I’ve been looking to add a milestone watch to my small collection and never once thought of looking at Panerai until I chance upon the PAM243 on social media. Did a little more digging and all of a sudden I find myself hooked with its timeless design and versatility.

Lo and behold a few days later I managed to find a BNIB K-series posting and arranged for a viewing immediately. To say the least I was quite dubious given the number of years it has been. Turns out the seller is one of those gentlemen who buys and collect but doesn’t wear the majority of his prized possessions. The PAM243 is merely one of the many that has sat in his safe all these years. Full box and paper, sticker and tags all intact.

Here’s the crazy part. Turns out he is an ex-Navy colonel and travelled the world as a submariner, hence the collection that he has amassed when visiting country to country. What a story eh?

Without saying, I went home with a satisfied soul and large hole in my pocket 😂 P.S anyone knows what this model retails for back then?

Here’s a few pics on my 7 inch wrist. With an athletic build, the 44mm really fits well and I don’t mind the thickness at all. Can’t wait to jump on the strap game!
