I bought a 372 when they came out. Loved it but as for most folks age eventually creates shrinkage. Off it went to a good buddy which allowed me to get my Moon to Mars Speedy back!
I replaced the 372 with a 44mm 590 and still love it. But I missed the 372s uncluttered look which landed me on the 562. Similar in a number of ways to the 372 but is also 44mm. Then at a watch party I saw the 0933. Finally a Radiomir in the collection, 42mm with a super cool blue dial and it was an actual ltd edition! Now I keep eyeing the blue 42mm Submersible that came out a couple of years ago. Seems that for my shrinking wrist 42 is now perfect and 44 looks appropriately big. And fortunately I still have visiting rights with my 372!
Eventually you realize that "big" shouldn't be how a piece compares to other watches but what looks big on "your" wrist.

Even for those whose feelings had cooled over recent years, I believe the 5218 has helped to rekindle interest in the brand and at least a curiosity in what else they have planned. Interestingly, there seems to be a newfound interest in 44 mm sized pieces...

And those, or variations of them, in titanium were my two daily PAMs from 2003 to 2008 or so. There were others at the same time, more than I needed, but a 25 and 177 both titanium were what I wore most.

I can’t deny the fun! Part of my issue with the 372 may just be the need to try a different strap.
But you also demonstrate the benefit of having various sizes and styles. Pretty much all my Luminors were 47mm…need some diversity.

44mm in luminor case works best for me.
I let go of the Pam 372 recently because it was just large on my wrist. Other than the 44mm luminors, I still have 45mm and 47mm Rad but they are not too overwhelming because of the slim wire lugs.
It’s funny, but I never tried on a wire-lugged Rad. It makes sense that the 47mm is more wearable.

..when Panerai started selling watches to the public. I believe they are the back-bone of Panerai sales. I have a fair few of them (all older model, to be sure) and like them as much as the "historical" 47mm. Buy away Lolllllllll

but the attraction is never fully lost as we still come across a piece that has us pulling out the wallet again. Again, nothing matches the Panerai experience.

I must say, that 933 is killer, and perfect in your wrist💪🏽💪🏽 I’m a sucker for the small seconds and ‘9’ combination.
Although I really do like the 590 I'm a sucker for not losing any of the 4 numbers, blue dials, micro rotors and not having a date so at that party out came the plastic! ;-)
