Like you, I had a 127 too. It was brief as 47mm wasn’t really for my wrist. Even still I bought the 372 years later.
I agree with your comment about folks being not disappointed with being in a line or on a list for something. I owned a few of those watches and others I didn’t ultimately get to the top of the list, but no big deal really.
I feel the same today; lists are fine, and no biggie if my name doesn’t get called.

I did really love the 372 when I first had it. And the 190 was a long time love, I was genuinely sad to let it go.
I always wanted to get in to Panerai, but never found “the one”
The only one I still admire is the PAM 518. Great journey with a sad ending.
