I have both....
since they are MM models and are in a category of their own (in my book). IMO the difference between 673 and 372 is like First class vs Economy (on carriers like Singapore Airlines, not domestic US carriers lollll).
The case is different and better, the hands are better and the presence of Marina Militare on the dial.....oh well, on a Panerai dial, cannot be matched by any other model IMO. That being said, the 587 is a hell of a nice model too

At the same time, I’m curious if you (and the others) are a fan of the Panerai crown protector, or don’t care either way? I like both case styles, but for some reason I keep wondering whether the MM is more ‘authentic’ on a 1950s case.
The "original" Marina Militare....

By chance, have you ever handled/worn a 372 for direct comparison? Because if the case is even a modest degree different, then for me that’s significant. Thanks.
I've never owned a 372....
...my "collection" consists of limited editions and discontinued models. I have, however, a 127 and a 605 which use 1950's cases. The 673 has a slight difference in the lugs and that makes it very comfortable on the wrist. The feeling (mine to be sure) is...
587 is a great watch.
Just gotta out the right strap on it 👍🏽… I would select the 673 over the 372 anytime
