Officine Panerai

I’m joining this thread so late, but I completely empathize with you.

Panerai was all the rave (up until 2013-14), and for good reasons. I got in at the wrong time and at the wrong price point (both personal choices/reasons) and I swore never to get back to the brand again when they kept issuing LE after LE. But I’ve recently matured and capitalized on the current market value of the original gems. A 233 which enjoyed Panda Daytona levels of wait times can now be had for 40-50% of the original retail price. I got my recent 384 for less than a 3rd of the retail price before it got discontinued. I’m now pondering my next PAM, and I find myself gravitating to Radiomirs. I have a small wrist (6.5 inches) but the lugs go straight down on Radiomirs. A California would be nice, and so would this titanium version

So what I’d say is: while you wait for them to issue your perfect watch, don’t be too cautious. Try on their 45-47mm Radiomirs. There isn’t much to lose, and there is potentially a lot to gain.

Long story short: iconic designs will always remain iconic

PAM 384: from long waitlists and paying premiums, to less than a 3rd of original MSRP.

Titanium micro-rotor goodness. Titanium makes case sizes inconsequential
