forget the purists. Panerai's commercial growth is steeped in 40mm models. The first 40mm Panerai was produced in...1999. If they still carry a grudge, they should...get a life...really! Some Luminor Due, are very nice IMO. I don't particularly like this one

So basically a 4mm smaller version of the limited green dial 1056, with now the downgraded, undecorated, non hacking movement? My goodness. Glad I got the 1056 when it was available.
I like the proportions of the Quaranta…
and I like green. The movement controversy is a concern. Many Panerai have basic movements though. It would come down to how it felt on the wrist and price.
