Nothing surprises me anymore....
I thought, long ago, that they couldn't go below certain..unwritten..standards but, time and time again, I had to lower MY bar (as an old school Panerai man of course). As a watch lover, I'd probably be ecstatic..the more the merrier. P.S. There is no SLC dial, only the 2533 one

works behind the curtains of this brand, it was much easier for companies like Omega or Rolex, to become what they are. Back then, you didn't have to "compete" with every one and their brothers. You just had to produce an Omega or a Rolex. The buyers wher...
As an old time collector Panerai is squeezing out all the pleasure for collectors.
I guess we can be happy for what we had in the past and the nostalgia that was Panerai
I'll give you some degree of....
silver lining. Should, them Swiss, had not been able to turn the brand on its head, there would have been no 372, 662, 587. Some of the "abominations" they churn out, are a small price to pay, while waiting for the next..21 or 249. IMO of course.

Interesting enough Panerai brought out the 249 which is iconic. They then brought out the 448 as a remake of the 249. It is still to find the hearts of the paneristi though.
If it wasn‘t a „Panerai“
this would have been a really beautiful watch in my humblest taste and opinion. For me this watch has something. Especially in this coloured gold case. I really like it. Just the brand name is not fitting. Hahahahaha. Which reference is it? Ciao Thomas
