On the surface, at first sight....
.... it seems to be a very .... "materialistic way" to feel like this.
But IMHO this would be only a short-sighted view.
I rather believe that the watch you are wearing is in different ways very "near" to you.
Most of all it accompanies you in almost every situation of life. You share so many memories, impressions, feelings with this "thing" that it quasi becomes a part of you.
And this is what you leave behind you. Even it is just for a short time.
Maybe that's the bottom line of it?
