Pam 682 42mm Submersible - bezel and impressions
So I wanted to like this watch so badly, based on the pics, specs and dimensions.
It fits my little 6.75" well without being cartoonish. ππ»
I even timed a couple of cal. 9010 movements in the boutique and they were adequate (one was +6 sec and stable and the other was +2 sec, but jumped around a lot more). Not as bad as I'd heard for these new in-house movements.
BUT - that bezel action!? Ewww!
Not only did the 60-click bezel feel worse than any seiko I've owned, it had LOTS of free play back and forth and more concerning, was that the bezel almost free-floated and had 0.5mm of floating play in every direction!?
Another submersible in the store had the same issue. π₯
Are they all like that!? π€
Also, when I closed the crown guard, you could see the date move within the window, as the whole movement shifted a bit in the case. WTF!?
I felt that the quality should have been higher, considering the price point and more recent move upscale in the market. This is more what I'd have expected in the $3k range of early Pams.
Am I alone? Are my expectations too high?? π€

6 foot tall Panerai wall clock. Wonder if you can order these for home use?

The only Paneraiβs I owned were the PAM320 and the PAM000. Both were good but the base 000 was the best. I feel like they are a hit or miss brand. A few people I know own the PAM24 and the bezel is very loose and moves with the slightest touch. Iβm not a ...
