Submersible bezels seem to have a bad rap

I simply googled "Panerai Submersible bezel play" and was saddened by the number of reports of the same thing.

It's completely unnecessary, as watches costing less than 1/10th have much better bezel action / fitment and quality.

Sadly, they finally released the model after a decade that I wanted in a size that would fit me... and now I'm turned off of the brand!?

They spent millions designing an in-house caliber and couldn't spend $20k to develop a decent bezel?

What may be more off-putting, is that I read a recent review of this specific watch and they failed to mention these details, but had another bezel issue (alignment) which was chalked up to being a pre-production issue.

Watch journalism seems to be a little biased, so you need to try these pieces on and really examine them before parting with your $.

These things, if discovered after purchase and sent back to Panerai would 99% likely come back with "its normal", based on what I found with others and their bezel complaints. 😥
