I especially like the PAM 740! I wasn't familiar with this rare dead seconds Panerai! Just goes to show, I learn a lot from you and the others on this forum!

Frankly, the 740 is not a keeper because it is, to the best of my knowledge, not a limited production. However, I have always wanted a Cali dial but 44 or 47 mm is too big for my wrist, hence I went for 42 mm. With the exception of the PAM 192 (which is 4...

Panerai collectors habitually like to play with straps

you don't see very often. Many years ago, in Singapore, a PAM80 has been on offer for a very long time at a reseller's shop. I considered buying it but, even though I hadn't, yet, been bitten by the purist's bug, I never could warm up to the...indipendent... 

Now it's mostly back to the roots, so to speak, going after old PAMs. I guess they have gone out of fashion...
